More Rain = More Pictures

Just kidding, the rain did let up enough for Julie to take the boys to the Japanese Gardens today. The maples are changing colors as you can see. They had a great time. Highlights were the "FISH!" (Miles' words) and origami paper boxes to collect and store pretty maple leaves. We're pressing them and will try and wax paper them for all to see.

Amazingly, everything is lush here again. I was looking through pictures of the yard in late August and it was dirt and brown baked out grass. If you see the video of the boys playing football it's already a lush green again.

It's getting colder and darker earlier. The dampness has arrived and this weekend we had our first fire in the fireplace (if you don't count the one that Julie lit in July) which was fun. John Christopher kind of remembered the fires, but it was clear he didn't totally remember because when I handed him the newspaper to ball up, he asked me what he was supposed to do.

If you haven't already, be sure to check out the video. Also updated the pictures on the index page (except for fish and Tulip). More pictures to come later.
