World of Cake

Not much to update lately. We've been busy parenting, as the two boys are enjoying some serious growing up over the last month. Miles has begun to crawl. Not satisfied with this, he has also begun pulling up to a standing position all over the place. We are thinking that Miles is tired of being whacked by John Christopher and is ready to get out of dodge. His new movement has caused a few tumbles here and there but overall nothing to cause concern. Miles is sleeping better and is also starting to actually eat his solid food.

John Christopher continues to talk and learn new things. He is adept at identifying animals and the sounds they make. We're still big fans of the Wiggles and baseball. His favorite player is Ichiro with his second favorite being Sammy Sosa ("Sosa"). He likes Ichiro so much that when he throws the baseball he screams "ICHIRO!!!!!!" at the top of his lungs. We took the Bus book back to the library and we couldn't get John Christopher to sleep without it. Now we own it. Also new for John Christopher is Thomas the tank engine.

We celebrated my birthday by going out for pizza and having cake at home. It was quite fun.

Otherwise, we prepare for the trip east and look forward to spending time with everyone
