The Seattle Times: Local News: Quakes beneath Mount St. Helens concern seismologists
Not to be outdone by the hurricanes on the east coast, looks like we're up for some more natural disasters West Coast style.
We've already had the earthquake of 2000 (which was one of the coolest, albeit scariest experiences I've ever had) so why not add an eruption to the mix.
Not to worry, Mt. St. Helens is a good 4+ hours from here and though I've thought about it, our plans to summit the crater of St. Helens have never materialized.
