World of Cake

Miles had his 9 month appointment last week and everything was grand. He was 50% down the line and is showing good progress with his growth.

In other news he has started walking! Whooo! He's standing freely and takes several steps at a time which is a lot of fun! His eating is improved too and is now eating full breakfasts!

John Christopher is doing well with his talking and is now able to share his thoughts on just about every topic. He is learning his name and is starting to refer to himself in the first person (as in "John-fer's Beetle Car"). He's spending lots of time on the "Beetle Car" which is his toy car that he thinks looks like a VW Beetle. He also got a surprise from the UPS Man the other day, a new potty. No luck yet with that one.

In Seattle news, it rained 5 inches yesterday and flooded several parts of the city. Several routes from work were blocked and many neighborhoods were several feet underwater (Greenlake). In typical Seattle fashion, the sun is out today. My grass is going to look nice in a day or so.
